The journey of the Mouawad family began with Samir Mouawad's grandfather, David, who opened his first workshop in 1890 in Beirut, where he was born. He specialized in creating magnificent and intricate clocks, laying the foundations for a tradition that has been preserved and respected by David's descendants through generations.

Years later, Joseph David Mouawad, the son of David, joined the family business. Remaining closely connected to his father, their exceptional work soon earned the respect and admiration of the upper echelons of society. This success helped them build a strong network of connections and attract high-profile clientele, ensuring a seamless succession from one generation to the next.

Samir Mouawad

Co-Founder & Chairman

Founder of Mouawad Advisory, Mr. Samir Mouawad has been a trusted advisor on strategic and financial performance issues for over 25 years. His business experience began in the family business under the watchful of his father, Joseph David Mouawad, the prominent watch manufacturer and jewelry designer of Lebanon. There, he started building his powerful ties to key business people of the Arab World. He subsequently launched Mouawad Advisory as a global consulting firm in 1998. As a long line of a successful businessman and entrepreneur through EMEA, Mr. Mouawad has gained a reputation as savvy and lucrative dealmaker that allowed him to be in the forefront of the players in the industry. Under his direction, Mouawad Group continues displaying unprecedented might and influence in its sector. As an art-aficionado since his 20's, Mr. Mouawad has amassed an extensive collection focusing mainly on contemporary artists. He holds BA degrees in Commercial Technology from the Université de Besançon in Franche-Comte; Gemology & Jewelry in Valenza-Alessandria Italy; and Humanities Art & History in Beirut.

Ghassan Mouawad

Real Estate Development Manager

Mr. Ghassan Mouawad grew up in Lebanon, where he attended the bachelor school at Peres Carmes de Tripoli. After receiving his MSc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Boston, USA, he returned to Lebanon joining the family business at Mouawad international Marine Company. Assigning as General Manager after a couple of years, he took on his first solo project, delivering one of the world's most expensive mega yachts ever built. In 1991, he started investing in many luxury projects and residential buildings in Lebanon and Turkey. Moving forward, Mr. Mouawad has also invested in energy sector to diversify his business, which quickly grew into multi-milion international projects company. He is one of the four members of Electrical Engineering Branch in OEA, the institution that groups by law, all active engineers and architects in Lebanon.

Lana Mouawad Aksel

George D. Rountree

Most respected and renown healthcare management guru, Mr. George D. Rountree is internationally recognized for his work in financial and operational excellence in healthcare organizations. With over forty years of award-winning healthcare leadership experience, Mr. Rountree have chaired VKF American Hospital and American Medical Centers Management as CEO, and The Methodist Hospital as Vice President. He is working closely with issues of state health policy within governments of several countries, the private sector, and academia. Having graduated from Health Management of Harvard University, he holds Master's Degree in Hospital Administration from Washington University. George D. Rountree is Adjunct Professor with both the Washington University, School of Medicine Program in Healthcare Administration and the Istanbul University, School of Business Administration.

Ferit Raat

Ferit is a leading international advisor with extensive experience supporting businesses in achieving growth, fostering innovation, and expanding successfully into global markets. Throughout his career, he has consistently placed his clients' interests first, working diligently to identify practical solutions while minimizing potential conflicts of interest whenever possible. Ferit is known for his clear and transparent communication style, ensuring that clients fully understand risks, fees, and all critical information required for informed decision-making. He completed his Abitur at Gymnasium Triberg in Germany, studied Business Administration and Economics at the University of Augsburg, and later pursued a double major in Hospitality Management and Political Science (International Relations) at the University of Lausanne. With over 35 years of experience, Ferit has successfully led and delivered end-to-end projects across five continents, guiding initiatives from concept to completion.

Idil Saguner

Principal

İdil Saguner is a general consultant and strategist working with governments, private investors, businesses and international organizations on multicultural communications, public affairs, reputation management, social issues management and super connector. She specializes in analyzing political and business risks in Sub-Saharan Africa and KSA. This includes producing forward-looking risk reports covering sovereign, fiscal and monetary policy, contract risks and operational risks (corruption and regulatory burden) for several global clients. Idil Saguner holds an MPhil in Political and Economic Sociology.

Samir Nasr

President ECE & Mouawad Financial Advisor

Dr. Samir Nasr is the founder and CEO of ECE Group. His background with PHD in Economics and training as Consultant at OECD, and Chairman of the Economics Department Lebanese University gave him a solid base to launch ECE in 1982. Dr. Nasr acquired a wide experience in all matters related to valuation, financing, modeling, economic and financial assessment, business plan, due diligence and all structuring issues including debt/equity and financial solutions including fund structuring. His experience spans more than 1,000 files over 32 years in 15 countries for 20 sectors and activities. In addition, Dr. Nasr is the CEO of the 'The Phoenician Funds Holding SAL' since 2016; a 25 Million dollars fund including 12 Lebanese banks. He is also executive director of the Mouflon Fund in Cyprus (Euro 100 Million) and Non-executive Chairman of the "National Institute of the Guarantee of Investment" in the Republic of Lebanon since 1993. Dr. Nasr acted also as Economic and Financial Advisor for the government of Qatar (2000-2005).

Cholada Chaiyasan embarked on her career as an art enthusiast while simultaneously working in the financial department of the Ministry of Revenue Authority in Thailand. By visiting art galleries in Bangkok, she developed a genuine interest in supporting and fostering talented young artists, establishing meaningful connections with them.
